Issue four open submission call

Seeking short fiction, flash fiction, and poetry

Dear reader,

In just one week, The Orange & Bee will be opening for submissions for Issue four, the final issue for our first year. The window opens on November 1 and closes on November 14. Keep in mind that we are an Australian-based publication, which means that we are a day ahead of our friends in the United States and Canada.

Due to the enormous response we’ve had to our previous open calls, The Orange & Bee has moved to Duosuma as a submission manager. The link to submit is https://duotrope.com/magazine/the-orange-and-bee-37221.

For Issue four, we are looking for short fiction, flash fiction, and poetry.

Word/line limits

• Poetry: up to 50 lines (but we’re a little bit flexible!)

• Flash: up to 1000 words

• Short fiction/non-fiction: up to 4000 words

Payment

• Poetry: flat rate $US50.00 per poem

• Flash: flat rate $US80.00 per story (max 1000 words)

• Short fiction/non-fiction: $US0.08 per word (max 4000 words)
