Tried to sign up for Duotrope to make a submission and form didn't work. I use Brave on Mac IOS. Tried also on Chrome, same issue signing up: "ERROR: Security check failed. Please answer the security questions again.

Hint: Be sure to add the two numbers together in the first question."

Hi Mona,

Thanks for your query. I'm afraid that I'm not sure I can be of much help with this. I'm not a Duotrope expert, just one of their users! (like you).

Duotrope do offer a help desk/support form for folk, like you, experiencing technical problems, which you can access and fill in here: https://duotrope.com/contact/technical.aspx

I do hope you find a solution!

warm wishes

Nike

Hi Mona, I thought I would check in and see how you went. Did you resolve the technical issue and manage to submit?

Hi there - just wanting to double-check that you still accept myth reimaginings? I submitted for Issue 2 & you did then. You returned my submission unread and said I could submit it again.

Dear Melissa,

We are open to considering mythic reimaginings, yes. Though our strong preference is for works that explore and draw on fairy tales. Of course, as you know, the two narrative forms overlap significantly!

Yes, totally. I draw from both myth & fairy tales in my work. Thanks - will prepare submission asap. :)

Are you open to submissions that are inspired by/ reimagining biblical stories?

Hi Tzivia! Interesting question. We are certainly intrigued by works that draw on various forms of folklore, including mythology (sacred narratives). So … maybe! 🤔
